Individual Health Counseling

Are you confused about what to eat? Do you want to boost your energy, feed and nurture yourself, or resolve health concerns? Are you concerned about your relationship with food? As a holistic health counselor, I work with my clients to discover the foods and lifestyle choices that truly nurture each individual.

My clients approach me with a wide range of concerns: to alleviate digestive discomfort and bloating, lose weight, learn to cook, find out what to eat, integrate exercise, identify food allergies, become pregnant, strengthen the immune system, change attitudes toward food, understand nutrients, reduce sugar and caffeine intake, decrease compulsive eating, stop itching...

I believe there is no one perfect diet for all people. I believe you are unique. I believe in small, slow changes. I believe in treats. I don't believe in "tough love." This program is not about deprivation or about harsh self-discipline. It is not about feeling guilty because you can't stick to a regimen.

You get out of your program what you put in. Together, we embark on a journey to re-wire your relationship with food. You will become a detective, able to engage in a conversation with your body. You will gain tools to provide you with a lifetime of balance.

I will come to your house (within 25 miles of Washington, DC), inspect the contents of your cupboards and refrigerator, and give you a written report indicating where you can improve! A great way to get a handle on an out-of-control pantry, and learn to read labels. I won't throw anything away -- what you keep is up to you. Kitchen visit lasts approximately 90 minutes.
